This website is operated by Lost Property Department Pty Ltd ABN 20 142 643 221 (LPD website). By accessing or using the LPD website, you agree to the Terms of Use of our website as set out below.

The Terms of Use of the LPD website include these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Notice and any other terms and conditions that appear in or are linked to the LPD website (Commercial Terms known as - Additional Terms and Conditions).

If LPD agrees to your proposed link, you must comply with any terms and conditions imposed by LPD as a condition of such agreement. If the nature and/or content of your website changes in any significant way, you must contact LPD and provide a new description of your website.

8. Interference with website

You must not attempt to change, add to, remove, deface, hack or otherwise interfere with this website or any material or content displayed on the LPD website.

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the State of Victoria, Australia. In the event that a dispute arises from these Website Terms and Conditions, you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

Commercial Terms - Additional Terms and Conditions

1. Membership Fees and Charges

The Member agrees to pay LPD charges in accordance with its commercial rates from time to time as published on the LPD Website. The Member agrees to make payments in accordance with LPD's terms for payment as published on the LPD Website.

2. Registration of Member's Property

The Member shall register the Property to be registered ( The Property) by following the Registration Process described on the LPD website.

3. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

The member by registering the property accepts the LPD Website Terms & Conditions .

4. Claims

Any claim made by the Member must be made in good faith. LPD shall only be liable to honour a claim if made in good faith.

5. Claims Process

LPD and the Member agree to adopt the following process –

(a) The Member shall register the Property;

(b) The Member shall affix a LPD Sticker to the registered Property:

(c ) The Member shall notify LPD in the event that the Property is lost.

(d) The Member agrees that the Member shall pay to LPD a Reward $20.00 (the Reward) plus a handling fee of $15.00, plus the cost of delivery of the found item from $14.00 depending on the delivery service the member chooses, and the fee for the Reward and Handling shall be determined from time to time as posted on the LPD website;

(e) The Member grants to LPD a lien over the Property when found by the Finder (Finder) and returned by the Finder to LPD until the Reward is paid by the Member.

Lost Property Dept Pty Ltd, ABN142 643 221, maintains a policy of strict confidence concerning your personal information. Accordingly, we have developed a Privacy Policy in accordance with the National Privacy Principles as provided in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act.) If you would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Collecting Personal Information All information collected is for the purposes of providing the best service to you. The personal information we collect will include information you give us when you place an order for the purchase of a good we supply. This personal information will include your name, address, contact details and credit card details. If we obtain information about you without your knowledge and the law requires your express consent to obtain it, then you will be contacted by us.

Lost Property Dept will not be responsible for any breach of security or unintended loss or disclosure of information that is passed to it via the internet.
